Lost In The Machine collaborated with Deeper Richer to create The Road To Zero In-School Program. Deeper Richer designed and managed the physical component of the experience, and LiTM the digital.
The Road to Zero Regional In-School Program engages students through immersive digital technology to learn about road safety issues and consider how they can contribute to achieving the vision of zero lives lost on our roads.
The content was inspired and adapted from the existing Road To Zero Experience in Melbourne Museum. It also features entirely new content, incorporating both AR and VR elements.
Hardware: iPad Pro, Oculus Touch
Platform: Unity 3D, Vuforia SDK, Google VR
Language: C# and HLSL
The experience starts with 35 iPad Pros forming a screen that displays the introduction movie. Each student then takes an iPad and joins a group. All the iPads are networked and students collaborate in a sequence of networked experiences. The results are sent back to the Museum which results in a follow-up "Post Experience" e-mail.
